Classified as semi-arid, Botswana's climate is hot and dry for much of the year. The rainy season is limited to the summer (November to March) with almost no rain falling during the rest of the year. The rainfalls during the rainy season are very unpredictable and highly regional. |
Some attractions in Botswana include:
- Chobe National Park - Home to a greater variety of wildlife than anywhere else in Botswana.
- Savuti Marshes - A harsh landscape that is home to an incredible multitude of wildlife.
- Okavango Delta - The largest inland delta in the world with an abundance of wildlife.
- Moremi Wildlife Reserve - situated in the centre of the Delta offering a great diversity of plant and animal life.
- Nxai Pan National Park - Bordering the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park in the north and home to the famous Baines Baobabs.
Activities:
You can experience this region's spectacular wildlife by doing a safari, or explore the Okavango Delta by Mokoro (dugout canoe).
